GRIDDLE DELI

COMMERCIAL

We were contacted to renovate an old deli. The owner recognized that the area was primary a lunch destination for the local warehouse truckers and he wanted to capture that market. We met with the new owner to identify the project scope. With the floor plan we needed to create enough seating for 20 people and a full kitchen. He left it up to us to come up with a concept. In our site survey we noticed that the old design blended in with the surroundings and with low foot traffic, we would need a design that could grab attention from people as they were driving by. To solve this problem our design included a lot of light and color.  In our feasibility assessment we had to remove some of the seating from the owner's initial plans in order to meet wheelchair accessibility requirements. We also added a sidewalk ramp to bring the building up to code.
